The following poem has been written by Club President Brian Burke in tribute to Miles Lewis.
For Miles
The times are getting darker
The world has far less joy
And it sets down another marker
Now we have lost our laughing boy
The edges all are flaking
The centre cannot hold
When all our hearts are aching
From a farewell that was untold
So look for him at Legends Lane
Or upon the Grange Estate
Or on the field at Sam Whit school
But I fear we are too late
And down in the Cynon valley
And the town of Aberdare
Where spring the roots of his proud family
We will look for him there
We will strain to hear that strident voice
That once would fill a room
The joking and the laughter
That have gone from us too soon
His love for wife and children
His family and his friends
It still dances all around us
Though time on earth so sadly ends
Remember him as a loving son
A husband and a dad
And all of us who loved him
Will remember our laughing lad
Yes we all will remember him
And through the tears will be smiles
For death can never take away
The love we have for Miles
