Letchworth skipper Sean Flatman is jetting off to Perth Australia with his fiancé to start a new life. With the early end to the season, lockdown and everything else it was assumed no awards would be given this year.
However Sean has put in two stints with the club from a junior age, as well as spells with Hertford and Western Australia, and the committee felt his contribution should not go unnoticed despite the lack of an awards dinner.
So the day before his departure president Brian Burke and chairman Chris Lunnon called him down to the front of the White Lion for a farewell rugby dram and a surprise & much coveted Letchworth Rugby Cap given for longevity and outstanding performances on and off the pitch.
No doubt in the years to come it will be a reminder of happy days, good fun and great mates at Legends Lane as he builds his life in the land down under 10000 miles away.
We all wish him well ...
