It is with regret that I have to announce that we are losing our senior coach Dave Hynard before our new campaign begins (whenever that is!).
Dave has been offered the senior post at Hertford rugby club and whilst he was torn between the two clubs, as he felt the job at Letchworth had not been finished, it is hard to turn down such an offer from his home club and we all wish him well with the Hoe Lane boys next season.
I would like to thank Dave for all his efforts whilst he has been at Letchworth and we have certainly enjoyed a far better season than any over the past few years with some notable wins combined with unfortunately some narrow losses, especially London Welsh who we should have beaten twice!
We are actively looking for Dave’s replacement and will be consulting with Jaggy and other members of the club before we make a final decision.
In the meantime keep well and fit and as soon as the lockdown has been lifted it is intended that we should all meet up at the club for a touch session and players supper (on a Thursday) and discuss the way forward for next season with coaches and committee.
