Message from Brian Burke, Club President
It is my sad duty to report the passing of Eric Thomas last week. I believe he was 85. Eric was a feisty little scrum-half who played for the club for over 25 years. He was a gym teacher and kept himself incredibly fit so he played on well into his 60s and used to arrange the annual game against the police back in the day. A minutes silence was observed before the Welwyn game on Saturday to remember him, and we wish all those he has left behind our condolences and best wishes. No doubt he has already selected himself to lead the side against the celestial police
