Head Coach
Dave Hynard (07412355108, davidhynard@gmail.com) - we are delighted to have Dave leading the coaching set up this season. He brings with him a wealth of playing and coaching experience. Having finished his career at Hertford RFC playing in the national leagues, Dave has shown his dedication for the game and gained senior coaching experience at Ruislip, Harpenden, Hertford and Luton. Also, he has experience coaching County rugby at various age groups over the last 5 years along with supporting Saracens as a pathway coach leading the U16 County programme. Last season Dave was chosen to assist in the Saracens Academy EPDG programme for the elite u15/u16's group. He comes with bundles of enthusiasm and energy along with fresh ideas to bring onto the training pitch and playing styles. He currently holds his RFU Level 3 coaching certificate.

Player Coach - forwards
Steve Hearn will join as a player coach and brings huge amounts of experience with him. A natural tight head, he comfortable playing anywhere in the front row and will be a great asset to the club. He represented Northumbria University for the 1stXV in the BUCS premier North league; in his final two years helping them get through to the quarter and semis of the BUCS cup. Steve then played some social rugby in Australia before coming back to Bishops Stortford. He was a member of the 1st XV squad that had climbed the national leagues from national 3 to national 1 as well as winning the Herts. President’s Cup for three years in a row.
Steve is excited to be starting a new chapter of his playing and rugby coaching career at Letchworth and is eager to do all he can in our push for promotion back to London 1.

Player Coach - Backs
Jordan Davies. We are also very fortunate to have Jordan, our new Welsh wizard, commit as a player and backs coach next season. He too brings in bundles of playing experience and will be highly valuable to the backs this season. Having worked and lived all over the UK, he has had more clubs than Tiger Woods!! Jordan has played most of his rugby in the National leagues including Westoe during a year living in Newcastle, and then for Harrogate and Bradford Bees whilst living in Leeds from 2012-2014. He’s been a resident of the South East since then and has played for Westcombe Park when they were in the old National 3 (two stints), Wimbledon, Tring and finally Luton when they secured promotion to London 1 in 17/18. He’s also been heavily involved in 7s over the years and managed The Black Sheep to back-to-back wins at Bournemouth in 2014 and 2015. This earned them an invitation on to the Super Sevens Series circuit for 2016, competing against the top 7s teams in the UK. He has represented Cross Keys RFC in the Welsh Foster’s 7s at both Cardiff Arms Park and Parc Y Scarlets and holds a Level 2 RFU Coaching badge.

We are also very pleased to have Jaggy Johal and Dan Bendon on board again for this season, people well known throughout the Club. Jaggy will assist as forwards coach and Dan has committed to leading the 2nd XV but will also be a valued member of the senior coaching team.
